I completed my first ever birthday card commission! yay.
The card features Hello Deadpool, a combination of Hello Kitty and the Marvel character, Deadpool. I gather that most people are familiar with Hello Kitty in some form or another, but less may know who Deadpool is. He showed up on film in Wolverine: Origins played by Ryan Reynolds. Supposedly, he will be making a stand alone Deadpool film, but after his flop with Green Lantern, I think that ship has sailed.
Deadpool fights with Japanese style swords, is physically invulnerable, and can break the fourth wall in the comic books. He is often talking to the reader, and many people think that a movie of the character should talk to the viewing audience. Only time will tell.
Hello Deadpool only has one thing on her mind, however, and that is birthday cake!
I keel you for cakes!
Sorry for the delay in new posts. I’ve been having a mixture of being swamped with work and laziness, which never goes well together.
I’ve been working on this doodle for two weeks, and it’s not so much that it has been hard to draw, but I’m trying something new and figuring out how to do it.
This mixture of Zen Tnagle and doodling was completed with two different sizes of teeny tiny pens. The kittens were sketched from a photo I took of them all snuggling.
A tangled web of kittens and patterns
As you can see, I used both pages of the Moleskine, but my photo of the doodle is even worse than usual. I’ll figure it out eventually.
On another note, we gave away two of the kitten to their forever homes, and kept one for ourselves. More photos of Streaky the Supercat are forthcoming, but for now, check this out:
Nothing better than a cat on a window sill, except for three cats on a window sill!
This would be awesome if the kitten in the middle were streaky, but its not. That ginger cat has entirely too much tail.
