Update on Past Doodle Challenge

A few posts ago, I shared some pictures of doodles that I never finished, mainly because I was all colored-out for a time, but also because I did not like the doodles in the first place. MrE convinced me that I should go back an correct ALL of the doodles. Just to give you an idea of some of the process I go through when making one of these drawings, I decided to post the newer black-line drawings, so you could compare with the older ones if you so desire:

I'm pleased with the changes. It is 10000% better than the original drawing.

The composition still leaves something to be desires, but still an improvement.

MrE and I also played another games of squiggles. I think I’m improving as far as cartooning goes, but I am but a novice compared to the Mikeler. Also notive the Homestar Runner lookalike. I’m so excited for them to start updating Homesatr Runner again!!

I did the dragon and the chameleon. Woooo. MrE did Iron Man. Of course.

I also used my grey markers for the first time to do the outline of a future doodle. I’m not sure if i’m going to use only grey or add some color.

As a drafter, MrE is appalled by my wobbly lines.

I also went back and improved a study I did in the same vein as an earlier doodle ( I actually drew the initial sketch of this before the magenta swirls, and it is only partial copying the source, instead of completely).

I declare this a successful improvement.

In the works I have the Texas State flower (Blue Bonnet) doodle and possibly will start working on Indiana (Peony–So many petals XP).
